Fair Use Policy
Nythor is built for personal, non-commercial use. This page spells out exactly what that means in practice.
Generally fine
- Saving your own uploaded content for backup or editing
- Downloading content that is explicitly licensed for reuse (e.g. Creative Commons)
- Saving publicly posted content for personal, offline viewing
- Archiving content you have direct permission from the creator to keep
Not allowed
- Re-uploading downloaded content as your own without permission
- Downloading and reselling or sublicensing copyrighted media
- Bulk-scraping accounts, channels, or hashtags at scale
- Circumventing a platform's paywall, subscription, or DRM protection
Why this matters
Nythor is a general-purpose extraction tool, similar in spirit to yt-dlp itself, which it uses under the hood. The tool has no way of knowing whether you have rights to a given piece of content — that responsibility sits with you, the user. We built this policy so there's no ambiguity about what we expect.
Copyright complaints
Nythor does not host or store copyrighted content. If you believe content accessible through a third-party platform infringes your rights, please contact that platform directly, as they control hosting and takedown for their own content. If you believe Nythor itself is being used to facilitate infringement at scale, reach out via our Contact page.
